Please be sure that we understand what you want, how long you want us to work on it and what specifically will satisfy you. Also, feel free to ask questions. KCPC Tech is working for you. If for any reason you become uncomfortable with what KCPC Tech is doing, please feel free to very bluntly let us know and we will ensure that you are comfortable before proceeding. No hard feelings! We are charging for the time and the parts utilized. If a problem cannot be resolved or if the work cannot be completed, you are still responsible for the time spent and the parts used. KCPC Tech will not in any way, shape or form, sell, share, exchange or disclose any of your information. Period. Above all, we value your business and you as a client and will keep any personal information that you disclose between you and us. Our computer services will certainly never be the cause of any spam emails or identity theft.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT: We do our absolute best to ensure that we can fix the issue you are having before we come out. Ultimately, you are paying for our time to attempt a repair. If we don’t feel like we will be able to fix your issue, we will not come to your location and attempt it. There are very few instances where we go on a call and are unable to resolve the issue you’re having, however, in those instances payment is still expected for the time spent at your location.
REMOTE SERVICES: If you call or email to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to your location but your issue is easily solved by walking you through something over the phone or remotely connecting to your computer, we will certainly try that option first. Our number one goal above all is to provide you with the most expedited service and get your computer issue solved so you can get back to using your computer. If, unfortunately, you are located outside of our service area our options for assisting you are limited to phone support and remote connection. We cannot solve every issue over the phone or by connecting remotely, but if we can help, we will!
CALL SATISFACTION WARRANTY: KCPC Tech cannot and will not guarantee that we can do everything that you request. However, what we can fix, we will be very thorough and persistent in order to maximize your satisfaction. We will not knowingly take on an assignment that we know cannot be fixed. You will always be entitled to know everything we know. Most equipment we work on has the potential to work better after we leave than before it developed the current problem. However, it may be very difficult to near impossible to configure everything exactly as you, the customer, remembers it. We try. If during the next five days (including today) you find yourself dissatisfied with our work, we will do everything we can to correct it and do so at no cost to you. In all cases we reserve the right to make the final decision as to whether something is fixable, a problem solvable, or a situation can be improved. This Call Satisfaction Warranty does not apply to equipment and/or parts of any kind and only applies when the user has thoroughly inspected, tested and approved the results of KCPC Tech services prior to us leaving and after full payment for work performed and part(s) or equipment used.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP OF EVERYTHING: By authorizing KCPC Tech to provide you with technical support, you agree that KCPC Tech will not be in any way responsible for the integrity of any data stored on your computer’s drives or any other device that contains data. By authorizing us to proceed, you are acknowledging that you understand your need and responsibility to maintain current backups of stored data and have taken appropriate steps to do so prior to requesting us the initiate any work.
KCPC TECH CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RESULTS OF ANY OF YOUR SYSTEM’S PAST, PRESENT AND/OR FUTURE VIRUSES, MAL-WARE AND/OR THE RESULTS OF INTRUSION BY OUTSIDERS. By authorizing us to begin work, you are acknowledging that these items are your responsibility. However, at your request, we will check your anti-virus software, virus definition files and firewalls for proper configuration and the latest updates. DELAYS: Your authorization acknowledges and KCPC Tech agrees that neither party shall be liable for any failure, inability or delay to perform here under if such failure, inability or delay is due to circumstances beyond its control, including, but not limited to war, strike, lockout, labor disturbance, social conflict, fire, explosion, or natural disasters. You also acknowledge that KCPC Tech will not be liable for any damage to computer equipment caused by power surges, outages, brownouts, improper electrical wiring, etc. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that adequate power protection is being utilized. You acknowledge that KCPC Tech will not under any circumstances, be liable for any lost profit, lost savings, or other incidental or consequential damages including, but not limited to, property damage, loss of use of any equipment or any other damages resulting from the breakdown or failure of any equipment or from delays in servicing or the inability to render service on any equipment. KCPC Tech’s liability for damages resulting from any cause, defective parts or components shall not exceed the actual price paid to KCPC Tech for the products and/or services.
SOFTWARE: As the customer, you warrant and represent that you have a valid software license for each application that it directs KCPC Tech to install either on individual workstations or on a server for specified workstations. You further agree to indemnify KCPC Tech against any action a software manufacturer may take for unauthorized duplication of software that the customer directed KCPC Tech to install on its systems. IF WE INSTALL A PART THAT WE HAVE SOLD YOU OUT OF OUR INVENTORY (NOT A SPECIAL PURCHASE) AND THAT PART FAILS WITHIN 30 DAYS, WE WILL REPLACE IT AT NO COST OR IF UNAVAILABLE, REPLACE IT WITH A COMPARABLE PART OR RETURN THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR IT. The choice is ours. Obviously, this doesn’t apply if the part(s) has been abused or subject to the various act of God and/or accessed by anyone other than KCPC Tech. Only that part of the technician’s time involved in the actual replacement of the defective part is covered under this limited warranty. Diagnostic time and/or time involved in loading, transferring and/or configuring software is not included. After thirty days, the part may or may not be guaranteed by the manufacturer. All warranties within this agreement, unless otherwise stated, are the manufacturer’s warranties and are only backed by the manufacturers. Please check everything before we leave. We do not warranty and/or guarantee our software related services. Make sure your programs start and run correctly, you Internet connection works, your printer works, etc. If we leave and something involving software does not work, you will be charged for the return visit including any travel expenses. We cannot and do not guarantee software related services because things can fail for a number of different reasons including but not limited to you or someone else trying to fix or configure something, a power surge, problems with your Internet Service Provider, etc.
WE WILL EXPECT PAYMENT BEFORE WE LEAVE FOR TIME AND PARTS. At our option, we will accept cash, and/or Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover credit/debit cards. If you have any concerns about your ability to pay when the KCPC Tech leaves, please discuss it with us before we begin. If your credit/debit card is declined or your check is returned because of insufficient funds, you agree to immediately deliver cash, cashier’s check or money order to us at our location and an additional $40 to cover our processing expenses. If we do not receive immediate payment in full, a 2% per month interest will be added and the entire amount and will be turned over to collection bureau for appropriate action. It is further understood that you agree to reimburse KCPC Tech for all legal and collection expenses, that Kansas law will apply to all situations, and all legal processes will take place in Johnson County Kansas. You acknowledge that if any portion of this agreement is deemed to be illegal or unenforceable, the remainder of this agreement shall not be affected thereby. In addition, you acknowledge that KCPC Tech retains a security interest in your equipment and software until the purchase and/or service amounts are paid in full. Title to the goods will remain the name of KCPC Tech until the amounts are fully paid.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT DURING THE CALL: KCPC Tech will usually try to fill the time you are being charged for and have often offered to do odd jobs around the house if the job is completed in less than an hour. This is not always the case as sometimes we get backed up and have to get to our next appointment, but we will always make sure you are completely taken care of before we go! KCPC Tech is here help you and take some of the stress out of having a computer issue. We do like friendly conversation and will do our best to explain what the issue is and how we fixed it so that you’ll know how to prevent the issue from happening again.
